Kathleen Plate is the talented designer behind Smart Glass Jewellery.
She grew up in a solar house where recycling and taking care of the environment were part of daily life.
Kathleen carries on this tradition by transforming everyday bottles into works of wearable art.
In June of 2006, Coca- Cola commissioned her to create a line of jewellery using their signature bottles.
Each piece of Smart Glass is handcrafted in the designer’s Atlanta studio and features recycled glass, sterling silver or gold fill.
Along with being a huge hit among celebrities such as Katherine Heigl, Sienna Miller, Leighton Meester, Christina Applegate and Amy Smart, Smart Glass has been featured on popular shows like Entourage and Nip/Tuck.
